Well stated and important to point out and question. Love Michelle Obama!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

On Saturday, former first lady Michelle Obama spoke at the United State of Women Summit and didn't hesitate to go after women who had voted for President Donald Trump.

Was just at this museum a couple months ago so can completely envision this happening!: On Saturday afternoon in Amsterdam, 34 people from @fossilfreeculturenl unfurled long paper banners one by one in the middle of the Van Gogh Museum. Meanwhile, a member powerfully spoke out the group’s manifesto. As she finished, the full text became legible: “End the Fossil Fuel Age Now.” The banner drop action was inspired by artists like Barbara Kruger and and Jenny Holzer.
It shed light on the museum’s dirty sponsorship by Shell. The fossil fuel industry has no place in our cultural institutions.

Run, ladies, run!

More than half the female candidates for House and Senate seats are challenging incumbents, who historically always win. And many women running for open seats are in challenging districts.

FEC allows candidate to use campaign funds for child care

"Our babysitter is just as important as my campaign manager or my finance director," Grechen Shirley told Newsweek last month. "She's just as integral, and she's paid as staff. I couldn't run my campaign without her."

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) ruled on Thursday to allow a female candidate running for Congress to use part of her campaign funds to cover child care costs.

Empatico Connects Global Students To Build Empathy Between Kids

“If we are going to tackle the challenges that humanity is facing, whether that is climate change or dehumanization or totalitarianism or nuclear proliferation or resource scarcity, we need to recognize our shared responsibility,” says Lubetzky. That starts, he believes, with recognizing our shared humanity first.

The 2018 World Changing Ideas winner for general excellence is a platform–funded by the snackbar Kind’s charitable arm–to connect classrooms around the world, so they can learn together, and learn empathy for each other.

How women can negotiate for more

Today is Equal Pay Day, which means women had to work all of 2017 and until this day in 2018 to catch up with what men earned last year alone. Here are some tips on negotiating to help force the issue!

“As an individual woman, the onus isn’t on you to close the gender pay gap by asking for more. But the next time you do negotiate, we want to ensure you have the information you need to get the best results.”

Negotiating is critical for women, and we know it leads to better outcomes. We asked over 70,000 people what works—and what doesn’t. Here’s what we learned.
